The beginning of 2025 has been quite slow for me so far, as I caught the dreaded flu that seems to be doing the rounds. Now that i’ve finally recovered, i’m excited to dive into planning, organising and sprinkling a bit of motivation into my January. This month isn't about diet culture or falling into that trap, for me it's more an opportunity to kick off the new year by making healthier choices and rethinking my lifestyle. Don’t get me wrong—I still enjoy a glass of wine on the weekends, but during the week, I’m striving to be more mindful of what I’m putting into my body. This brings me to a book I've recently started by Dr. Tim Spector, which has been incredibly enlightening. It emphasises the significance of eating foods that promote gut health, as our gut is connected to so many other aspects of our well-being, including our mental health. I highly recommend it! He has also has a cookbook out with lots of gut friendly recipes to enjoy. Find the book here and the cookbook here

I’m going to share a recommendation each month and this one is a fab Mexican in Dalston called Corrochio’s, we visited during the twixmas period when we wanted a break from cheese and turkey! We are a bit fussy when it comes to Mexican cuisine and I can confirm that this place ticked all our boxes with incredible authentic food and the marg’s were spot on too, they even have a fab happy hour, 6-7pm daily - Corrochio’s
